Automation of the handling process for bulk baggage (non-containerised baggage) has taken a dramatic step forward with the new RampMate^® system.

Differentiating between arrival and transfer bags is often a time consuming manual process that increases the handling time but using the new RampMate^® system human interaction is reduced to a minimum.

The system bridges the gap in the traditional baggage handling by automating the input process for inbound baggage. Baggage is transported to the terminal where the passenger picks it up at the arrival baggage reclaim. In case of transfer baggage, bags are transported to the terminal to be inducted into the baggage handling system for sortation to the next flight.
