Sales Engineer – Palletizing and Packaging Systems

Location: Branchburg, NJ 

General Responsibility
The sales engineering position requires excellent organizational and communication skills. 
This position offers the opportunity for substantial career development and will report directly to the Division Manager and will work closely with the Application Engineer and Representatives to fulfill the customer needs. The work is mostly independent and requires a high degree of travel but also involves coordination effort.

Responsibilities

• Gathering and analyzing of customer requirements
• Consulting with Sales, Engineering and Application Development on system solutions
• Design and development of solutions
• Demonstrations and presentations of BEUMER Corporation solutions
• Active attendance on conferences/exhibitions
• Leading negotiations and representing the company's interest
• Central outside point of contact for all technical issues/questions from the Sales Team
• Attend conference calls and on-site meetings with customers
• Work with application engineering to transition a proposal to an order

Requirements/Skills and Abilities Required

• BS/BA degree preferable in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering
• 2 to 5 years experience in sales or engineering environment
• Excellence in time management; attention to detail and the ability to learn quickly
• Excellence in communication (both verbal and written)
• Practical hands on experience dealing with external clients
• Professional, positive and energetic attitude
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Spanish and/or German language skills could be beneficial

Desired

• High degree of computer literacy, including use of various software tools; experience in MS Word, Power Point, Excel, email
• Strong mathematical, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent listening skills resulting in a high level of customer satisfaction. Must be able to listen for opportunities as well as potential technical/commercial hurdles
• Industry experience within the cement, chemical, building material, fertilizer and/or lime industry
• Technical experience in one or more of the following areas would be advantageous: experience in palletizing and packaging systems design and analysis
